Huawei Cloud, a major player in the global cloud computing industry, has joined the Cardano ecosystem to expand the reach of the Cardano network. EMURGO, Cardano’s blockchain partner, has announced a new alliance with Huawei Cloud to promote Web3 solutions through the Cardano platform. The collaboration aims to drive the adoption of Cardano-based Web3 solutions in Asia and Africa, and also includes the establishment of a Cardano Validator Node on the Huawei Cloud platform.
Huawei Cloud, a prominent cloud service brand under Huawei, is recognized as a leading cloud computing entity worldwide. As part of the alliance, EMURGO will integrate Huawei Cloud’s infrastructure into Cardano’s public blockchain ecosystem by setting up a Cardano Validator Node on the platform. This integration will provide Cardano developers with access to Huawei Cloud’s extensive computing resources for building Web3 solutions. Additionally, Cardano will gain entry to Huawei’s Marketplace, a popular platform used by major enterprises. The alliance also aims to enhance the interoperability and scalability of Cardano’s cloud services.
This collaboration marks the first step towards a broader partnership between EMURGO and Huawei, aligning with EMURGO’s goal of expanding the Cardano ecosystem to key economies in the Asia Pacific and Africa regions. Ken Kodama, CEO of EMURGO, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the shared vision of accelerating Web3 adoption and promoting transparency and trust in the cloud ecosystem. Rex Lei Yang, Managing Director of Huawei Cloud Singapore, also expressed enthusiasm, highlighting the opportunity to connect with a network of Web3 developers through Cardano.
EMURGO, as one of the founding members of the Cardano protocol, plays a crucial role in developing and supporting commercial opportunities within the Cardano ecosystem. Founded in Japan in 2015, EMURGO’s mission is to foster the expansion of the Cardano ecosystem through strategic partnerships, education initiatives, investments, and infrastructure development.
