Despite the ambitious goals set for XRP, several entities have predicted timelines for the altcoin to achieve these price levels.
XRP has been facing resistance from bears in crucial price regions amidst the current market uncertainty. Despite underperforming compared to the rest of the market, XRP reached a yearly peak of $0.74 in March 2024. However, it quickly dropped from this high as the broader market corrected.
Despite the turbulent market conditions, investors remain optimistic about XRP. As a result, there have been several bullish price predictions for the altcoin. While some predictions are more moderate and realistic, such as the $4 target or the $6 goal, others are quite ambitious, with some looking for an XRP price of $100, $500, and even $1,000.
For example, market analyst Levi Rietveld predicted last month that XRP could rally to $100 if Bitcoin reaches the $1.5 million target projected by MicroStrategy Chairman Michael Saylor. In June, Edoardo Farina, XRP Healthcare’s Head of Social Adoption, argued that a $500 price could be a bargain for XRP in the next five years.
Meanwhile, several analysts have discussed possible triggers for XRP to rise to $1,000. However, investors remain skeptical. Despite this skepticism, market commentator Crypto Tank contended last month that the $1,000 goal is not unrealistic.
With conflicting opinions on the feasibility of these bold predictions, we sought the outlook of two AI chatbots, Grok AI and ChatGPT, on possible timelines for XRP to reach these targets.
Grok AI confirmed that predicting when XRP could reach $100, $500, or $1,000 is challenging and largely speculative. However, the chatbot sees XRP reaching $100 between 2025 and 2028 if it can improve liquidity, form pivotal partnerships, and witness regulatory clarity.
Grok AI also noted that for XRP to hit $500, it would need a drastic change in valuation metrics. A possible catalyst for this price increase would be XRP’s adoption in the global payment scene or another major factor that boosts its utility. Based on these factors, Grok AI expects XRP to hit $500 after 2030.
Interestingly, the AI chatbot also discussed the possibility of a $1,000 price for XRP. It admitted that this would require XRP to become a reliable store of value, and it predicts that this milestone could be achieved beyond 2030, specifically in 2035 or later.
ChatGPT, on the other hand, sees XRP reaching $100 in 3 to 5 years optimistically and 7 to 10 years conservatively. The chatbot predicts a $500 price for XRP in the next 7 to 10 years optimistically, but believes it could take 15+ years from a conservative standpoint.
Lastly, ChatGPT expects XRP to reach $1,000 in the next 15 years or beyond optimistically. However, the chatbot notes that the $1,000 price is uncertain. It’s important to mention that these projections are not investment advice, as XRP may never reach some of these targets.
