Shiba Inu Burning Campaign Gains Traction with Massive 225M SHIB Sent to Dead Wallet in Single Transaction
The Shibburn platform has documented a significant transaction involving the destruction of more than 200 million Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens. Reports from the burn tracker reveal that an anonymous user transferred a staggering 225,637,580 (225.63M) SHIB tokens valued at $4,964 to the dead wallet.
According to Shibburn data, this transaction took place at 17:25 UTC yesterday. Upon further examination of the wallet, it was discovered that the user withdrew 1.41 ETH ($4,946) from Robinhood prior to initiating the burn. As of now, the wallet holds no tokens.
Additionally, it was observed that this address has been engaging with Blaze Token since June of last year, involving transactions of millions of BLZE tokens on various occasions.
Shiba Inu Burn Rate Skyrockets to 2,834% as Over 232M SHIB Tokens Are Eliminated
This particular transaction marks the largest burn recorded in the last 24 hours, contributing to a total daily burn of approximately 232,222,042 (232.22M) SHIB tokens. With SHIB currently trading at $0.00002200, the total value of tokens burned in the previous day amounts to $5,108.
Following the burn of 232M tokens, the daily burn rate for Shiba Inu surged by 2,834%. The recent downturn in the market has had a negative impact on the Shiba Inu burn campaign, resulting in a decrease in daily burns. Nevertheless, the community has shown strong support for the ongoing burn initiative, with substantial amounts of SHIB being sent to the dead wallet.
Additional Significant SHIB Burns Recorded in 24-Hour Period
Data compiled by Shibburn indicates that aside from the 225M SHIB tokens burned in a single transaction, there were several other transactions involving the destruction of millions of Shiba Inu tokens.
For instance, an unidentified wallet conducted two transactions burning 1.95M and 1.23M SHIB tokens in the past 13 hours, while another unknown wallet burned 1.69M SHIB during the same timeframe.
Furthermore, the wallet responsible for the largest Shiba Inu burn within the last 24 hours has a history of burning SHIB tokens. Notably, this wallet previously sent 500.8 million SHIB to the dead wallet on March 25.
Although the quantity of SHIB destroyed in the recent period is relatively small compared to Shiba Inu’s substantial market capitalization of $12.95B, its long-term impact remains to be seen.
