Shiba Inu Team Provides Newest Update on Their PlaytoEarn Game

The team behind the Shiba Inu ecosystem has unveiled an exciting update regarding the play-to-earn (P2E) version of their upcoming Collectible Card Game (CCG), Shiba Eternity.
In a recent announcement shared on their official platform, Lucie, the marketing lead for Shiba Inu, revealed that the highly anticipated blockchain iteration of Shiba Eternity is on the verge of its launch. She highlighted that the game already boasts a mobile version that enables players to earn rewards in the form of ‘Kibbles.’
Notable Features of Shiba Eternity
Despite this, Lucie mentioned that the forthcoming blockchain version of Shiba Eternity will present distinct differences from the mobile variant released in October 2022. She went on to outline some potential features of the upcoming edition.
Foremost among these is the impending introduction of the TREAT token. Lucie underscored the pivotal role this token will play in Shiba Eternity. As previously mentioned, players within the Shiba Inu community will have the opportunity to earn TREAT while engaging with the game. Whereas Kibbles are earned in the mobile rendition of Shiba Eternity, TREAT will be the reward currency upon the game’s launch on Shibarium.
Additionally, Lucie highlighted the integration of Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) within the in-game store as another key feature of the upcoming Shiba Eternity version. This means that players will be able to purchase various in-game assets using BONE tokens.
Lastly, Lucie stressed the significance of owning Shiboshi NFTs in the forthcoming Shiba Eternity game. Players will need to possess authentic Shiboshi NFTs or rent them from existing holders in order to interact with other Shiboshis.
Anticipated to debut on Shibarium, the marketing lead expressed optimism that Shiba Eternity could potentially drive an increase in network transaction volume, leading to substantial SHIB burns.
However, Lucie cautioned that details regarding the impending features of Shiba Eternity are speculative and subject to change.
Current Progress of Shiba Eternity
The development team at Shiba Inu has been diligently working behind the scenes to prepare for the launch of the blockchain version of Shiba Eternity. They have been identifying and rectifying bugs through continuous in-house testing in preparation for the beta testing phase scheduled to kick off in Q2 2024.
Upon successful completion of the beta testing period and resolution of all issues, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team will determine the official launch date for the P2E version of the game on Shibarium’s mainnet. Lucie had previously projected that this launch could take place within the current year.
