Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, shines a spotlight on the major advancements that have been made in the crypto world this year. The Shiba Inu ecosystem has seen remarkable progress, from the introduction of innovative technological solutions to active participation in key crypto events.
Lucie’s Highlights of Major Shiba Inu Developments in 2024
In a recent post titled “2024 Recap,” Lucie, a marketing specialist for Shiba Inu, outlined the significant developments that have taken place within the SHIB ecosystem this year.
Shibarium Upgrades
One of the standout achievements is the enhancement of Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 scaling solution. The development team behind the Shiba Inu ecosystem implemented substantial upgrades to the L2 solution, improving its efficiency and scalability. These enhancements were unveiled during a highly anticipated hard fork in May, providing Shibarium users with faster transactions and more predictable gas fees.
Shibdentity Initiative
Lucie also highlighted the introduction of the Shibdentity initiative as a crucial development in 2024 for the Shiba Inu ecosystem. This project represents a significant step towards establishing a new era of digital identity within the SHIB ecosystem. Shiba Inu has made notable strides towards this goal by collaborating with the popular DNS provider D3 Global.
SHEboshi Launch
Another major development emphasized by Lucie is the launch of SHEboshi (SHEB) in 2024. SHEB is a collection of 20,000 Ethereum-based DN404 tokens that were released in February. The token sold out within five minutes and secured a listing on a centralized crypto exchange the following day.
L3 Blockchain Announcement
Shiba Inu’s upcoming privacy-focused L3 blockchain project was also highlighted as a significant development. In April, the Shiba Inu team announced a successful $12 million fundraising effort to build an L3 blockchain, with the TREAT token serving as its utility and governance token. The testnet version of the network is scheduled to launch in Q3 2024, although the mainnet launch date has yet to be confirmed.
Token2049 Conference Participation
Lucie pointed out Shiba Inu’s active participation at the Token2049 conference in Dubai as another key milestone for the cryptocurrency this year. The event, which took place in mid-April, featured Shiba Inu as a gold sponsor. The Shiba Inu ecosystem team engaged with industry leaders and even took part in a Polo Cup competition, where they were defeated by Bitcoin.com. Additionally, Shiba Inu sponsored and participated in the 2024 Web3 Summit in Dubai in mid-April.
ShibaSwap Transition to Shibarium
Lastly, Lucie mentioned the transition of Shiba Inu’s decentralized exchange, ShibaSwap, to Shibarium. According to reports from The Crypto Basic, ShibaSwap successfully completed its transition to Shibarium in May. Lucie highlighted that this transition has expanded the ecosystem’s capabilities and reach.
