Shiba Inu Looks Back on Key Developments and Strategic Progress in 2024

Lucie Shines a Light on Major Shiba Inu Developments in 2024
In a recent post titled “2024 Recap,” Lucie, the marketing expert for Shiba Inu, shed light on the major developments that have unfolded within the SHIB ecosystem over the course of this year.
Shibarium Upgrades
Leading the list is the improvement of Shibarium, Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 scaling solution. The development team behind the Shiba Inu ecosystem has introduced significant upgrades to the L2 solution, enhancing its efficiency and scalability.
These enhancements were unveiled through a highly anticipated hard fork in May. Following the completion of the hard fork, Shibarium users can now experience lightning-fast transactions and predictable gas fees.
Shibdentity Initiative
Lucie also emphasized the launch of the Shibdentity initiative as another crucial development in the Shiba Inu ecosystem for 2024. This project marks a significant step towards establishing a new era of digital identity within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Notably, Shiba Inu has taken substantial steps towards achieving this goal, including forming partnerships with prominent DNS provider D3 Global.
SHEboshi Debut
Additionally, Lucie pointed out the introduction of SHEboshi (SHEB) as a key development this year. SHEB is a collection of 20,000 Ethereum-based DN404 tokens. Launched in February 2024, the token sold out within five minutes and secured a listing on a centralized crypto exchange the following day.
Unveiling of L3 Blockchain
The upcoming privacy-focused L3 blockchain by Shiba Inu is the fourth project highlighted by Lucie. In April, the Shiba Inu team announced a $12 million fundraising campaign to develop an L3 blockchain, utilizing the forthcoming TREAT token as its utility and governance token. The Crypto Basic reported that the testnet version of the network is set to launch in Q3 2024, with no confirmed date for the mainnet release.
Token2049 Conference Participation
Lucie also spotlighted Shiba Inu’s involvement in the Token2049 conference in Dubai as another significant milestone for the cryptocurrency this year. The event, held in mid-April, saw Shiba Inu participate as a gold sponsor.
During the event, the Shiba Inu ecosystem team engaged with key industry players and took part in a Polo Cup competition, where they were defeated by Bitcoin.com. In addition to the Token2049 conference, Shiba Inu sponsored and participated in the 2024 Web3 Summit in Dubai, which took place in mid-April.
ShibaSwap Migration to Shibarium
Lastly, Lucie mentioned the migration of Shiba Inu’s decentralized exchange, ShibaSwap, to Shibarium. According to The Crypto Basic, ShibaSwap successfully completed its transition to Shibarium in May. Lucie highlighted that this transition has expanded the ecosystem’s capabilities and reach.
