The team behind the Shiba Inu ecosystem has revealed various ways for the SHIB Army to earn the upcoming TREAT token as the ecosystem’s layer-3 blockchain approaches.
Amid the recent discussions surrounding the upcoming Shiba Inu L3 blockchain and the TREAT token, the Shiba Inu team has provided more details for the SHIB Army.
How the SHIB Army Can Earn TREAT
In a recent post on X, Lucie, Shiba Inu’s content specialist, reminded the SHIB Army that the idea of the TREAT token originates from the original vision of Shiba Inu’s pseudonymous founder, Ryoshi. Lucie highlighted that Shiba Inu enthusiasts have reasons to be excited about TREAT’s arrival as each interaction with the token presents an opportunity to earn.
“By engaging with TREAT, you won’t just earn any token; you’ll acquire a fully functional asset,” Lucie explained.
Lucie also provided specific information on how to earn TREAT. SHIB enthusiasts can earn TREAT by staking on the ecosystem’s decentralized exchange, ShibaSwap. The opportunity to earn TREAT also extends to exploring SHIB: The Metaverse or engaging with the Shiboshi NFTs.
Other Functions of TREAT
TREAT serves as a versatile reward token within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. It plays a crucial role in enhancing liquidity for the forthcoming SHI stablecoin.
The Shiba Inu team has stated that TREAT could potentially replace the BONE token as the primary reward token on ShibaSwap. Additionally, TREAT will support the blockchain adaptation of the Shiba Inu-themed collectible card game, Shiba Eternity.
Furthermore, TREAT’s main functionality will be its use as the governance token for the upcoming privacy-focused layer-3 blockchain. As revealed by The Crypto Basic, the Shiba Inu team conducted a fundraising round by selling pre-launch TREAT tokens to venture capitalists, raising $12 million. The objective is to expedite the launch of the layer-3 blockchain.
In addition, the Shiba Inu team has clarified the development of the L3 privacy blockchain in relation to the existing layer-2 solution, Shibarium. Lucie explained that Shibarium’s L2 solutions aim to improve scalability on blockchains like Ethereum, while L3 solutions introduce higher-level protocols. Importantly, Lucie emphasized that the upcoming L3 solutions utilizing TREAT will not replace the BONE token used on L2. Instead, both assets will work together to enhance the capabilities of the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
