Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, has ended a 13-day period of silence to deliver some exciting news for SHIB enthusiasts.
In a recent post on X, Kusama drew attention to a recent update from the organizers of the highly anticipated IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO event. The organizers emphasized that the event is just around the corner, with only eight days remaining until it begins.
The post also highlighted that tickets to over 250 side events have already been sold out. However, for those who still want to experience these events, attendance at the IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO is still possible.
The organizers noted, “If you want to fully enjoy IVS, participation is a must! Make your reservation now!”
In response, Kusama, who has been inactive since June 18, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event. In a follow-up post, he acknowledged that he has been reserved and quiet in the past but now feels it is time for a change.
Kusama’s statement suggests that he is ready to step out of his comfort zone and become more active, specifically in advocating and promoting Web3. He expressed his gratitude to the IVS Crypto 2024 team for their patience and expressed his eagerness to meet members of the Shiba Inu community at the event.
This announcement comes just a few days after Shiba Inu announced that it has secured the Gold Sponsor title for the IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO event. This sponsorship could enhance Shiba Inu’s presence in the Web3 space, allowing for networking opportunities and potential partnerships with other industry players.
As previously reported, the Gold Sponsor title could also provide more visibility for the dog-themed cryptocurrency through a dedicated booth. This opportunity would enable the Shiba Inu team to showcase its potential, leading to wider adoption.
IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO is a three-day event scheduled to take place from July 4 to 6 at the KYOTO Pulse Plaza. The theme of the event is ‘Cross the Boundaries,’ and it is recognized as one of Japan’s largest Web3 conferences, focusing on the intersection of Web3 and blockchain with artificial intelligence, entertainment, and gaming.
Some of the notable speakers at the event include Mo Shaikh, co-founder and CEO of Aptos Labs; Ray Chan, CEO of Memeland; Serbastien Borget, co-founder and CEO of The Sandbox; Jeffrey Zirlin, co-founder of Sky Mavis; and Genki Oda, Executive Manager at SBI Holdings.
