Shibarmy Scam Alerts, a community-driven channel dedicated to raising awareness about scams targeting Shiba Inu enthusiasts, has brought attention to the latest tactics employed by scammers.

In a recent post on X, the channel warned members of the Shiba Inu community about the existence of fake Telegram accounts impersonating the top developers of Shiba Inu, namely Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya.

The channel shared screenshots of two different Telegram accounts that were pretending to be lead developer Kusama. It was evident that both accounts were created using Kusama’s official Telegram name, but there was a subtle difference in the usernames.

Similarly, the scammers also created a hoax Telegram account impersonating the top Shibarium developer Dhairya. While the Telegram name may deceive unsuspecting investors, a closer examination of the username reveals the fraudulent nature of the account.

For example, the creators of the fake Dhairya Telegram account altered the original username, changing it from “@kaaldhairya” to “@kaa1dhairya.”

Shibarmy Scam Alerts issued a cautionary message to members of the Shiba Inu community, highlighting the fact that malicious individuals are creating fake Telegram accounts to disseminate harmful information and redirect people to fraudulent platforms.

The objective of these deceptive practices is to either steal people’s assets or manipulate them into sharing personal information for malicious purposes. The channel urged Shiba Inu community members to remain vigilant and exercise caution, emphasizing the importance of relying on trusted sources for information.

Furthermore, the channel reminded Shiba Inu enthusiasts that no official team member will ever reach out to them to request their personal information or ask them to connect their wallets to any platform. It also encouraged users to protect the community by reporting any suspicious activities.

Despite these exposures, malicious actors continue their efforts to exploit unsuspecting Shiba Inu investors. They employ various tactics, such as promoting fake giveaways on social media and directing community members to illicit websites.

Now, these scammers are impersonating key members of the Shiba Inu ecosystem team, including Kusama and Dhairya, in order to lend credibility to their illicit posts.

Last year, a fake X account impersonating Kusama promoted a fraudulent Shibarium giveaway following the launch of the network’s version 2.0. As previously reported, the popular Shiba Inu influencer “SHIB KNIGHT” warned community members not to engage with the giveaway, emphasizing that the post was not from Kusama.
