Shibarmy Scam Alerts has issued an urgent warning regarding a fake airdrop for BONE tokens that is specifically targeting unsuspecting members of the Shiba Inu community.

Scammers are always on the lookout for new ways to take advantage of investors who are seeking opportunities to grow their cryptocurrency holdings. In recent times, these malicious actors have been targeting enthusiasts of Shiba Inu, knowing that they are particularly enthusiastic about SHIB-related projects.

Fortunately, the team behind the Shiba Inu ecosystem and the community-driven scam alert channel, Shibarmy Scam Alert (@susbarium), have been vigilant in issuing critical warnings to ensure the safety of community members.

The latest scam involves Bone ShibaSwap (BONE), which is Shibarium’s gas fee token. According to a recent post by @susbarium, an illicit email has been circulating, urging Shiba Inu community members to participate in an airdrop in order to claim BONE tokens.

The scammers provide details in a screenshot, stating that recipients are eligible to receive BONE as part of an ongoing token airdrop program. They encourage users to click on the link provided in the email to claim their so-called BONE rewards.

However, the community-driven scam channel has warned users not to fall for this scam, as there is no official airdrop for BONE. The channel advises users to delete the email and refrain from clicking on any links or attachments.

Clicking on the link provided could redirect users to a malicious website, ultimately giving the scammers control over their funds. This is a common tactic used by scammers, as it allows them to trick victims into connecting their wallets to the platform and subsequently gaining access to their funds.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that scammers have targeted Shiba Inu enthusiasts. Shibarmy Scam Alert has previously exposed similar scams. In April, they provided insight into the tactics commonly used by scammers, which involve creating and redirecting users to malicious websites in order to steal their information and funds.

In addition, last month the channel exposed another scam that targeted K9 (KNINE) investors, a new token in the Shiba Inu ecosystem. These warnings are crucial in protecting members of the Shiba Inu community from falling victim to exploitation.
