The Shiba Inu ecosystem team announces a major Shibarium upgrade that introduces a complete package, transforming how users trade, earn, and burn SHIB. According to Lucie, ‘things just got serious’ for SHIB, TREAT, BONE, and LEASH. This comes after the development team improved the project’s DeFi toolkit. She suggested that the recent upgrade is not a mere ‘cosmetic refresh’ but a complete transformation of Shiba Inu’s underlying engine, which powers how users earn, trade, and burn tokens within the ecosystem.
New Features
Lucie highlighted some notable features from the upgraded DeFi toolkit, including precision liquidity pools. This feature enables liquidity providers to select precisely where to provide liquidity, allowing them to target specific price zones for higher yields. With this new feature, Lucie noted that users will no longer spread their capitalization thin but will focus more on the action.
Multiple Reward Sources
In addition, the marketing lead stated that the upgraded toolkit now allows stakers to earn rewards from multiple sources, including fees, protocol incentives, and additional bonuses. She emphasized that the rewards would continue to compound without requiring micromanagement.
Real-Time Auto Burns
Furthermore, Lucie noted that the upgrade would significantly impact SHIB burns. According to her, certain activities, such as liquidity actions, swaps, and other on-chain transactions, will automatically trigger burns in real time. With the new auto-burn feature, the team will not wait for a special announcement before incinerating tokens like SHIB. Notably, every on-chain transaction burns SHIB immediately, steadily reducing its supply. Despite the introduction of real-time auto burns, Shiba Inu’s burn rate experienced a significant dip, crashing by 97.99% in the past day to 208,890 SHIB. This implies that fewer tokens were incinerated in the last 24 hours compared to the previous day.
Unified Interface
The new upgrade combines all core SHIB functions into one platform, including swap, stake, burn, and token bridge. As a result, users no longer need to visit multiple platforms to initiate these transactions. Overall, the marketing lead of the Shiba Inu ecosystem stated that the upgraded toolkit enables average users to operate like professionals. With the upgrade, users can lock LP positions into narrow price bands to achieve higher yields, combine rewards across protocols, exit and re-enter liquidity positions without losing yields, and burn tokens with each transaction. The upgrade is part of the team’s efforts to simplify things for users by transforming how they burn, trade, and earn within the Shiba Inu ecosystem.
