The marketing lead of the Shiba Inu ecosystem expresses confidence in SHIB’s long-term potential, forecasting a surge to the $0.01 price target.
Several crypto experts have continued to set different audacious targets for Shiba Inu, including a potential surge to the $0.01 price mark. This prediction has sparked a major debate within the Shiba Inu community, with enthusiasts wondering whether SHIB can reach this lofty height.
For context, SHIB is currently trading at $0.00001275, up 2.09% over the past 24 hours. At the current price, SHIB would require a surge of 78,331% to hit the $0.01 target. If SHIB accomplishes this feat, its market cap will soar to $5.89 trillion from the current valuation of $7.51 billion.
SHIB to $0.01 Is Possible
Interestingly, Shiba Inu’s marketing lead, Lucie, believes SHIB can hit the $0.01 target in its lifetime. Lucie, who has held SHIB since 2021, expressed confidence in the token’s potential, asserting that the $0.01 target is realistic.
However, she emphasized that it would take time before Shiba Inu eventually hits the ambitious $0.01 target. Her commentary represents a subtle call for investors to exercise patience and continue to hold SHIB amid short-term price fluctuations.
Lucie is not the only crypto stakeholder who believes the $0.01 target is realistic for Shiba Inu. Prominent community figure Luis Delgado (alias Del Crxpto) shared a similar sentiment last year. According to the expert, it is certain that SHIB will hit the $0.01 target.
Notably, Delgado highlighted how Dogecoin (DOGE), which launched in 2013 with an opening price of $0.00056, eventually soared to the $0.01 target in December 2017. He noted that DOGE achieved the feat despite its price retracing to $0.0001 a few months after its launch.
Although SHIB’s current price is significantly lower than the levels at which DOGE traded before its surge to $0.01, Delgado’s analysis implies that Shiba Inu could follow a similar upward trajectory and eventually hit the one-cent milestone.
Timeline for SHIB’s Surge to $0.01
Like Delgado, Lucie did not set a timeline for SHIB to soar to the $0.01 price mark. As a result, we consulted multiple entities to ascertain when the $0.01 price prediction might become a reality for SHIB.
Popular crypto trading platform Changelly predicted that SHIB will clinch the $0.01 mark by August 2040. Experts at the exchange expect SHIB to trade at a maximum price of $0.0109 during this period.

However, renowned AI chatbots like Grok and ChatGPT expect SHIB to hit $0.01 sooner. ChatGPT forecasted that SHIB might achieve the $0.01 target under an optimistic scenario within the next 5 to 10 years. In its realistic prediction, the chatbot expects the one-cent price target to materialize within 10 to 20 years.
On the other hand, Grok forecasts that the $0.01 target will occur for Shiba Inu by 2030 and beyond.
Even though Grok and ChatGPT set different timelines for the $0.01 milestone, they both agree that Shiba Inu must burn a significant chunk of its supply–currently standing at 589.25 trillion tokens–to pave the way for this rally.
Other factors they believe could lead to this success include widespread adoption of SHIB and a favorable condition of the broader crypto market.
