Shytoshi Kusama, the renowned lead developer of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, recently shared his remarkable experiences during his visit to the Middle East in a post on X. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to connect with his relatives and immerse himself in their culture.
Although Kusama disabled comments on his post, some users found a way to voice their reactions. Vet Kusama, an influential figure in the SHIB community and the sibling of the lead developer, eagerly awaits Kusama’s return to the Middle East. Meanwhile, another Shiba Inu enthusiast questioned the decision to disable comments and urged Kusama and the rest of the ecosystem team to fulfill their promises to the community.
Some users are concerned about the impact of Kusama’s Middle East trip on the cryptocurrency. It is unclear whether Kusama had any involvement with SHIB during his visit.
Shiba Inu has already established a strong presence in key regions of the Middle East, particularly in Dubai. Earlier this year, the cryptocurrency sponsored the prestigious 2024 Web3 Summit event, which saw the participation of over 3,000 attendees and nearly 100 speakers. Shiba Inu also sponsored the Token2049 event held in Dubai in April, where it networked with top industry stakeholders and even took part in a Polo Cup competition.
Furthermore, prominent Dubai-based exchanges such as CetoEx and CoinW have added support for Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens. In addition, thanks to Majid Al Futtaim’s integration with Binance Pay, tourists can now book exotic hotels in the UAE using SHIB.
The extent to which Kusama’s trip will contribute to Shiba Inu’s adoption in the Middle East remains to be seen.
