Shiba Inu’s development team has released an exciting update for Shiba Eternity, the cryptocurrency’s card collectible game (CCG). The latest version, v1.2.8, named “Balancing Act,” brings a range of enhancements to Shiboshis, focusing on balancing their powers.
To announce the update, Mazrael, an advisor for Shiba Eternity, invited players to explore the new changes by saying, “See you in the Dogjo!” This statement aims to encourage players to dive into the game and experience the latest improvements.
In a subsequent post, a pseudonymous advocate for Shiba Inu shared a video demonstrating the new features in Shiba Eternity v1.2.8. One notable addition allows players to use the frostfire blast to stun their opponent’s card, causing damage to adjacent fighters.
To recover from attacks in the upgraded version, players will need “2 BARK tokens.” Additionally, players can receive two armors by using the cybernetic boost feature, but this will cost them 2 BARK tokens. Furthermore, there will be a fee of 2 BARK tokens for trading other tokens within the game.
The Shiba Eternity team has been working tirelessly to develop a play-to-earn (P2E) version of the game. This involves making important upgrades to address technical issues and improve performance. Last month, developers unveiled the first internal build of Shiba Eternity, which resolved certain issues with cards like Stealth Fighters and Princess Andromeda’s interaction with the game.
These updates are part of the preparation for beta testing, which is scheduled to begin before the end of the current quarter. Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, confirmed that beta testing for the P2E version of Shiba Eternity will commence in Q2 2024.
It’s important to note that the original version of Shiba Eternity was developed by PlaySide Studios, based in Melbourne, and was released on October 6, 2022. The game features a Japanese martial arts theme inspired by the Shiba Inu ecosystem and includes 10,000 Shiboshi heroes, 500 collectible cards, six core traits, and 32 passive powers.
Currently, the game is undergoing rigorous in-house testing as developers continue to identify and resolve any glitches in preparation for the beta testing phase.
