Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange LBank has announced the addition of KNINE, the governance token of K9 Finance, Shiba Inu liquid staking and derivative partner, to its platform. The listing of KNINE under the KNINE/USDT pair in the innovation zone was revealed in a blog post and through LBank’s official X handle. Users can now deposit KNINE into their LBank accounts in preparation for trading, which is set to begin today at 12:00 PM (UTC). Withdrawals will be available starting tomorrow at the same time.
The news of KNINE’s listing was met with enthusiasm from the Shiba Inu ecosystem team, who congratulated the K9 Finance team and described it as a significant step towards adoption. Following its recent listing on Dubai-based exchange CoinW, KNINE’s addition to LBank was predicted by Buzz, the co-founder of the K9 Finance project. Buzz also hinted at more exchange listings in the future.
Launched on March 7, 2024, KNINE is the native token of the K9 Finance ecosystem, allowing community members to participate in decision-making processes through the project’s decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). The community recently used over 13 billion KNINE tokens to vote for the burning of 410 million KNINE in honor of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin. This burn is scheduled to take place on May 31.
Since its launch, KNINE has been listed on four centralized crypto exchanges, including MEXC, CoinW, BitMart, and now LBank. Buzz has revealed that another exchange listing for KNINE is in the works. Meanwhile, the price of KNINE has experienced a 1.23% increase in the past 24 hours, reaching $0.00002518.
